{ LICENSE LINEUP } L'Amy America has entered into an exclusive multi- year license agreement with Canali to market and distribute a luxury collection of sunglasses and ophthal- mic frames under the Canali brand. The Canali eyewear collection is slated for avail- ability in March 2018, and will preview at the MIDO Milan optical trade fair next year (by appointment only). Marchon Eyewear, Inc., and Calvin Klein, Inc., have announced a long-term, multiyear renewal of their licensing agreement for the exclusive design, develop- ment, production, and distribution of Calvin Klein, Inc.'s ophthalmic and sunglass collections under the CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC, CALVIN KLEIN, and Calvin Klein Jeans brands—marking a 25-year partnership between the two companies. { PEOPLE } Silhouette UK has announc- ed the appointment of Perry Moore as its managing direc- tor. Moore succeeds David Chalmers, who was recently promoted to global sales director at Silhouette's head- quarters in Linz, Austria. Zak Hale has joined the SPY snow team. Hale recently backed the SPY Happy Lens at California's Bear Mountain resort for the Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails competition. Ron Sallerson has been appointed director of devel- opment for the Think About Your Eyes campaign. Saller- son's experience in nonprofit fundraising includes roles with several organizations, including the National Kidney Foundation and the National Breast Cancer Coalition. { BUSINESS UPDATES } Barberini Eyewear and 8 Points, Inc., announce an exclusive distribution agree- ment for the Barberini collec- tion of plano and prescription sunglasses for Canada and the United States. Professional Eyecare Resource Co-Operative (PERC) and Infinity Vision Alliance (IVA) have started a give-back program in which they will donate $2 for every Iconik frame and $1 for every Public Eyeworks frame sale to the Essilor Vision Foun- dation. The program runs through Aug. 30, 2019. PERC and IVA have also partnered with illuma Care Connections to engage dia- betic patients and schedule appointments with PERC and IVA providers. Marchon Eyewear, Inc., acquired a majority interest in the company's exclusive dis- tributor in Turkey, Enternasyo- nal Gözlük, now operating as Marchon Turkiye. The Think About Your Eyes initiative has announced the addition of two new partners, VFO Group (Optelec) and Compliancy Group, in supporting the campaign's goal of promoting annual eye exams and industry growth. VSP Global has announced an investment in RightEye, LLC, a health technology company that uses eye- tracking technology to revo- lutionize patient care and vision performance. { AWARDS } HOYA Vision Care and the National Optometric Asso- ciation selected Marquavia Stinson of the Kentucky College of Optometry as the recipient of the fifth annual Dr. Charles Comer Commu- nity Service Award. SPY has named Heather Meyer the 2017 Optical Rep of the Year. Under Meyer's direction, SPY's optical sales in Orange County and the Inland Empire have increased more than 23% since 2016. { MISCELLANEOUS } Essilor has been selected by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, World and Europe, for its corporate sustainability leadership, ranking second in the Health Care Equipment and Supplies sector. The company was also included in the FTSE4Good global investment index for the 14th consecutive year. National Vision, Inc., is now accepting entries for its 2017- 2018 grant program and is asking third- and fourth-year optometry students to reflect on their decision to attend optometry school.
