Lovejoy's experience in the optical industry includes 28 years on the leadership team at Luxottica. { BUSINESS UPDATES } The National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blind- ness and the National Insti- tute for Children's Health Quality have selected Arizona, Ohio, and Wyoming to participate in a collabora- tive aimed at improving the systems supporting children's vision and eye health. The work will have a special focus on reducing the prevalence of vision problems in hard- to-reach populations of young children. CooperVision has opened an energy-efficient manufac- turing plant at Coyol Business Park in Costa Rica. Optima, a PFO Global brand, has relocated its Connecticut facilities to PFO's national headquarters in Dallas to increase efficiency for ship- ping and ordering processes. Envision has announced its collaboration with the Wichita-based entrepreneur- ial group e2e to bring more tech jobs to Wichita, KS— specifically for the blind and visually impaired. FYI... For more than two years, Daley's leadership of The Vision Council has produced a renewed strategic focus on the International Vision Expos, and has continued the shepherding of the Think About Your Eyes industry campaign. â Essilor of America has acquired AllAboutVision.com, a popular consumer website and information resource on a variety of topics relating to vision, eye health, and eyewear. (PSI) is now the authorized distributor of The DON Company, LTD's hard coat, AR, and hydrophobic consumables in North, Central, and South America.
