BRINGING BURBANK BACK l.a.Eyeworks Releases New Edition of Iconic Frame From the '80s As a complement to its Spring/Summer 2016 collection, l.a.Eyeworks unveils a modern edition of Burbank, a frame composed of minimalist construction n Burbank, a frame composed of minimalist construction and daring geometry that made its original debut in 1988. The frame's original proportions and signature elements, including spring-post nose pads, have been maintained in the new edition. Burbank features dramatic angles and flat-base lenses with a frame made of cobalt and beta titanium. Available in an ophthalmic style and as sunglasses, the new edition of Burbank will be available in Black, Silver, and Gold. "It pushed against the boundaries of what you were supposed to do in frame design. It was the bumblebee of eyewear—it wasn't supposed to fly. But it did fly, and we've always been very proud of Burbank."
